JAM Mediation Services provides a truly independent service. Janet Lambrou does not have a separate legal practice and is not aligned with any particular entity, or type of organisation. Her approach is always professional and ethical. Melbourne Mediation Services

Commercial

Magistrates’, County, Supreme and Federal Court litigation in areas of:

  • Professional negligence
  • Insurance disputes
  • Real property

Panel

Janet is a panel mediator for the Victorian Small Business Commission, involving disputes under the Retail Leases Act and the Small Business Commission Act, and a variety of disputes between businesses, clients, customers and suppliers. The parties are both represented and unrepresented in this forum.

Janet is also a panel mediator for the Civil Division, Building and Property Division and Human Rights Division of the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal.

Workplace

As a licensed investigator, Janet previously investigated numerous complaints of sexual harassment, bullying, and discrimination in the workplace. She believes that investigations rarely solve the problems being investigated, and no longer conducts them. Rather, she encourages and recommends early mediation of workplace disputes. She has successfully mediated between employees who have gone on to work harmoniously together after mediation. More often than not, disputes in the workplace arise from a lack of communication, or mis-communication. Janet’s objective, honest and empathetic approach in mediating these disputes is instrumental in their success.

Sexual Abuse

In an incredibly sensitive and challenging area, Janet is regularly thanked for her professional approach and compassion in the role of mediator of sexual abuse claims, against church and other organisations.
